Holy Land (Good Friday)
The Good Friday Collection for the Holy Land. Funds from this collection will support Holy Places, but above all it will help those pastoral, charitable, educational and social works which the Church supports in the Holy Land for the welfare of their Christian brethren and of the local communities.

Aid to the Church in Central and Eastern Europe
This collection supports Catholic organizations that provide affordable shelter and training for seminarians in a region that still struggles with the effects of Soviet rule. By providing pastoral care, catechesis, and funding for building renovations, your donations help restore the Church and build the future in the region.

Latin America & Home Missions
This Appeal helps mission dioceses by supporting seminarian formation in poor dioceses. The blessing of seminarians places a financial burden on poor dioceses, which educate each seminarian at a cost of $35,000 – $40,000 per year. Your support is needed for these young men, so that they can return to serve their parishes. Please strengthen the Church at home

Catholic Missions Among Black & Indian People
This collection helps Local African American, Native American and Alaska Native Diocesan communities throughout the United States spread the Good News of Jesus Christ.

Pastoral Solidarity Fund for Church in Africa
The Church in Africa continues to grow rapidly, unlike anywhere else in the world. In fact, it is estimated that by 2025, nearly one-sixth of the world’s Catholic population is expected to be living in Africa. The Solidarity Fund for the Church in Africa supports a variety of programs to ensure that the Church continues to communicate its faith and work to overcome current challenges. With our help, the Church in Africa can turn its potential into a reality as it works towards confronting the many challenges of educating and caring for its people.

St. Joseph’s Seminary
St. Joseph’s is the major seminary of the Archdiocese of New York. Its primary mission is to serve the Church by forming men for the Catholic priesthood who will hand on the life and tradition of the Church’s faith in the context of the new evangelization of the twenty-first century. The Seminary offers a program of human, spiritual, intellectual, and pastoral formation that is faithful to the Magisterium of the Catholic Church. Through an integration of these “pillars of formation”, St. Joseph’s aims to form men according to the Heart of Jesus the Good Shepherd.

World Mission Sunday
We are invited to live our missionary vocation in a very real and special way through prayer and financial support. In doing so, we will be able to serve more than two-thirds of the world’s people who have not yet heard the “Good News” of Jesus Christ. The missionary efforts of the Church depend on each of us.

Catholic Charities Campaign for Charity and Justice
The Catholic Campaign for Human Development (CCHD)is an example of how Catholics reach out to involve and support people who are poor in acting together to improve their lives, overcome injustice, and escape poverty.

Collection for Retired Religious
All of us are able to recall and give thanks to the Lord for the thousands of retired Catholic sisters and brothers whose hard work, prayer, and personal sacrifices helped build and sustain our schools, hospitals, and charitable agencies. The annual archdiocesan collection is for those sisters and brothers who are now in their senior years. This special collection affords us an opportunity to offer them, in return for all they have done for us, our love and support by helping to provide for their needs.
